This is the easiest, cheesiest, VEGGIE puff-pastry rolls-up I’ve ever made! This makes for an EXCELLENT appetizer for any occation! And a great choice for any picky-eater!
You’ll need:
baking sheet lined with parchment paper
cooking spray-sprayed lightly on top of partchment paper
rolling pin
Ingrediants
- 1 egg
- 1-10oz package-Frozen chopped spinach-thawed and drained very well
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 8oz cream cheese- softened in room temp
- 1/4 cup Gouda cheese- chooped into small pieces
- 1 package of Puff Pastry Sheets (2 sheets)
- 1 tbsp water
Directions
- Preheat oven at 400 degreed F
- In a small bowl, beat together the egg and water well, to create the egg wash. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, gouda cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and spinach. Mix everything well.
- Unroll the Puff Pastry sheet and smooth out any seams using the rolling pin for both sheets separately
- Brush the egg wash over one side of each puff pastry sheet
- Spread the spinach and cheese mixture evenly to each pastry sheet, leaving 1inch untouched border from the ends of 2 opposite sides of the sheet.
- Roll tightly from one end of the untouched border to the other.
- Cut each rolled pastry sheets into 8 pieces
- Place each spinach roll-ups flat on baking sheet lined w/ partchment paper and sprayed lightly with cooking spray.
- Bake in the oven for 20-30mins or until golden brown.
- Let them cool before serving. ENJOY!
