This is a delicious dessert/appetizer recipe that got my WHOLE family grabbing for seconds and thirds! Including all the picky-eaters! It’s a beutiful twist to the famous apple pie that everyone loves.
Makes 16 apple pie bombs
What You’ll need:
rolling pin
baking sheet
parchment paper
Ingredients:
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 can (8ct) store bought biscuits
1 can of apple pie filling
2 tsp melted unsalted butter
All purpose flour as needed
Directions:
- Preheat oven at 375 degrees F
- In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon. Then set aside.
- In medium bowl, cut apples from apple pie filling into small pieces.
- Open can of biscuits in accordance to instructions. Then separate each biscuit (8ct) into halves (making 16ct total)
- Using a rolling pin and flour as needed, roll each biscuit half into 4 inch circles.
- Spoon 1.5 tbsp of the apple pie filling into the center of each rolled biscuit half.
- Pull the rim of the rolled biscuit half together. And pinch it sealed.
- Place over parchment paper on baking sheet, with sealed rim side facing down.
- Bake in the oven for 20-25mins. or until golden brown.
- Use back of a spoon, dip it into melted butter. Smear butter over each apple pie bomb
- Sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon mixture over each apple pie bomb.
- Serve immediately or at room tempurature. ENJOY!
